Lisa Chapman, DVM,
Practice Owner

Dr. Chapman joined our team in November 2006 and officially took over ownership of the practice on April 13, 2015. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and also holds a BS degree in Molecular Biology from UW. Professionally, Dr. Chapman has interests in preventative care, geriatric medicine and pain management in addition to surgery and dentistry. She is originally from the Milwaukee area and now resides in Grafton. In her spare time, she enjoys competitive waterskiing, Badger football and spending time with her family, friends and pets.

Lorin Shearburn, DVM

Dr. Shearburn joined Parkdale in 2009. She is a longtime advocate for companion animals and is passionate about their care. She has volunteered for over 15 years in shelters including Harmony House for Cats in Chicago, the Wisconsin Humane Society, Dane County Humane Society and Dane County Friends of Ferals. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2006. She was awarded the AAFP Feline Medicine and Surgery award her senior year. She is a member of the MVMA, WVMA, AVMA, HSVMA and American Association of Feline Practitioners.

She has served on an international panel to create the Enviornmental Needs Guidelines for Cats through the AAFP. The guidelines were published in the journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery in 2013 and can be accessed online at http://www.catvets.com/guidelines/practice-guidelines/enviornmental-needs-guidelines. Dr. Shearburn was also interviewed for the February 2013 issue of Cat Fancy Magazine for feline dental health month.

Dr. Shearburn has 2 orange kitties, Perseus and Orion and a beagle named Baxter. She also enjoys yoga, gardening, playing music and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Brant Jauer, DVM

Dr. Brant Jauer is a 2000 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent his first few years in large animal practice working mostly with dairy farmers here in Wisconsin. He also spent a year in Australia working with dairy farms and pets “down under”. When he returned to the US, Dr. Jauer wanted to develop more experience with small animals and joined an emergency practice in south Florida. After a few years in emergency practice and a few more years of small animal practice, he and his wife returned to the Midwest and he joined Parkdale in 2015. Dr. Jauer likes snow skiing in the winter and outdoor activities in the warmer months. He is a private pilot and is fond of flying and traveling. After work, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife and three felines-Jinxy, Cuppy and Ernie.

Kari Mutz, CVT,
Hospital Manager

Kari joined Parkdale in 2015. She has been a part of the veterinary profession for 15 years. As a Certified Veterinary Technician, she has spent time in both the general practice setting as well as 5 years in an emergency and specialty practice. She has special interests in customer service, marketing and providing the best possible veterinary experience for both pets AND their families. Kari is excited to join the Parkdale team and serve the families of her own community. She lives in West Bend with her husband, 2 young boys and the real head of the household, Lucy; a French Bulldog and WCHS adoptee.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Amanda joined the Parkdale team in 2010 working as part of the kennel staff. She is now a Certified Veterinary Technician. Amanda completed her schooling at Madison Area Technical College and passed her Certification exam in August of 2013. She has 2 dogs; Cali and Jed, as well as two cats; Wink and Elouise. In her free time, she enjoys taking the dogs for a walk and kayaking out on the lake with her husband.

Sarah joined Parkdale in 2010. She has spent over half her life working with animals. She has a BS in biology with emphasis on animals, worked as a veterinary assistant and passed her state boards for her CVT license in 2009. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and friends; especially her husband, two young boys, her Granny and her old man Labrador named Rye.

Veterinary Assistant

Kayla is a full time Veterinary Assistant whom you will see both in exam rooms and assisting in surgery. Kayla has a strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and is our “go-to” person for product and technical information. She also has a special touch with dogs and seems to calm even the most fractious without trouble. Kayla has been with Parkdale for over 11 years and had also worked as an assistant at another clinic before joining us. Kayla is the proud owner of a Mastiff; Tank. Kayla lives in Washington County with her husband and young son, they love hunting, fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling and most other sports!

Veterinary Assistant

Jeanna started with Parkdale in 2004 as part of the kennel staff and has since become a very valuable part of our team. She now assists our doctors in exam rooms helps with trouble shooting over the phone. Currently, Jeanna has a basset hound, but has been known to house a menagerie including: ferrets, goats cats and multiple dogs. She truly cares for all creatures. When she’s not working hard at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young children. They enjoy hiking and snowboarding and spending time with family and friends.

Veterinary Assistant

Patty joined the Parkdale team in 2015. Patty has been a part of veterinary medicine for sometime. Previously, she’s worked at two other greater Milwaukee hospitals. She started as a Client Relations Specialist, but has transitioned into a Veterinary Assistant role. This helps to nurture her life-long love of working with and helping animals. Patty shares her home with a champion racing mini-dachshund named Quiggly and a springer mix named Piper. Phoebe, her cat, is along for the ride as well. In her free time, Patty loves traveling where it’s warm and sunny on the Harley with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her 2 adult children. Her son is serving in the Army in Tacoma, WA and her daughter lives locally.

Customer Service Representative

Katelyn has been with Parkdale’s team since 2006. Katelyn has 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. She particularly enjoys educating families on their new puppy or kitten. When she isn’t working, she enjoys outdoor activities and camping with her husband and her three young children.

Sara has been at Parkdale since 2001. Sara brings an extensive background in veterinary medicine to her position. She has been in the field for over ten years and holds an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology from the Medical Institute of Minnesota at Bloomington. Sara has a special interest in purebred felines as well as cats in general and is a wonderful resource for cat behavior questions. Sara and her husband, reside in the West Bend area with their family of two children, a few dogs and of course, Sara’s cats.

Pet Care Attendant

Brenda has a part of the Parkdale team since 2013. She has a lot of animal experience. Aside from working part time here at the hospital, she spends her days working for a feline rescue organization and also does some pet sitting. Brenda cares for all of our boarding and hospitalized pets and ensures the kennels are in excellent condition. After caring for cats all day, Brenda of course goes home to her own lucky felines, Haley and Cheyenne. When she’s not working, she enjoys the company of her husband and two sons. They like attending festivals, animal fundraisers and traveling north to visit with family and friends.
